Flux IV samples

The following samples show experimentation with the mediums and methods in our proposal, as they've emerged across different projects and sites.

Color Matching - Reading the site's colors to match the palette for collaborative paintings. (Past is Present at Red Clay, Ghana)

Collaborator invitation - collaborators perform in their medium within the installation.

Live-feed projection - Projecting participants over accumulated footage, layering the month with the moment. (Past is Present at Red Clay)

Field recording to soundscape - Recordings gathered with naturalist Hank Lentfer in Glacier Bay — wildlife and water transformed into soundscape. Choreographer Sarah Campen developed movement responding to the ecologies. (This Place This Sound, Immersive Exchange Initiative)

Painting to projections - Collaborative paintings made by kids and adults become immersive projection.

Aerial Documentation - Cameras document from above as participants paint collaboratively.

Video feedback test - Movement artist Dagner Segura performs inside a real-time video feedback loop, finger-lights multiplying through the projection. A method we can explore for the culminating installation, workshops, or collaboration with invited artists.

Language - Collaborating across languages — original songs in Yup'ik (Gary Beaver) and Dagbani (Zacharia aka 'Assemblyman' and youth). If language emerges through a collaboration, this is what it can look like.
